Design of a Dual-Polarization Dipole Antenna for a Cylindrical Phased Array in Ku-Band

چکیده

This paper proposes a dual-polarization dipole antenna for cylindrical phased array working in Ku-band. The is double-layer structured and composed of two orthogonal butterfly shaped radiators, ground co-planar waveguide (GCPW) feeding structures vias. Each the shape butterfly. patch grooved triangularly one side it bent into an N shape, which effectively expands frequency band antenna. structure improves isolation between ports. works 15 GHz to 16.2 antenna’s ports this better than 20 dB. proposed applied 32-element cylinder array. simulation measured results show that can scan −60° +60° azimuth plane with gain fluctuation less 2.5 Therefore, design attractive candidate conformal devices at Ku-band frequencies, also has great potential application larger arrays.
